Does any one have have hadware suggestions for overhead paging at a ti connected location thru the standard bcm50 paging zones? We have a new system and the tech from Qwest says it can't be done.

Paging across IP trunks is not supported.
There are several IP enabled paging products available.
Try Google.

Here's one thing that I've done in the past (ugly, but it works).

Get an old PC with a soundcard. Load an i2050 on that PC, register the 2050 to the BCM 50. Connect the output of the soundcard to the page amp, and put the 2050 in it's own page zone (such as zone 5). Page zone 5 from any phone, and presto, paging over IP.

This will work if you have an overhead paging system at the remote location. Only time the customer has had problems is if the PC needs a reboot, which usually happens once every couple months.

Thanks
I was thinking about getting an old pc involved somehow. I don't understand what you mean about loading the i2050 on the pc though.

Thanks for all the help, I was thinking that the i2050 was an ip phone.
