Hello, I am trying to figure out if VOIP will work from a Avaya S8300/G700 to a Cisco router, where the router turns the VOIP back into TDM, to a Definity G3si v11(no medpro card installed). I have someone make a test call from the S8300 to router to Definity, I can hear the them but they can't hear me or when the phone rings.

Setup test. IP phone is setup in my location using S8300 ip address of the pbx at remote site and receiving dhcp ip address from my site. I used the IP phone to call a user in my location and I can't hear him but he could hear me.

Setup another test. Had a user at the remote site call me and they couldn't hear me but I could hear them.

All test using VOIP. Any ideas? I'm thinking the router.

I do I determine which codec the pbx is using? I have codesec 1 that contains these
G.711MU
G.711A
G.729
and the router is setup for G.711ulaw. Should they be the same?

Codec should match. Since you have that in codec set 1 you should be ok. I think you may need medpro in G3si, buy one one Ebay.
