I have a site where I have all Nortel voice and data. 5520 PoE switches and CS1000 PBX running RLS 4.5. I am trying to get a call recorder that the customer purchased from Eventide to be able to record the converstations on the I2004 phones they have.

Problem is that Eventide only knows how to make the packets forward to the gateway of the recorder using a SPAN port on Cisco gear. They have no idea on how to make the 5520 send packets in the same manner. I have tried various port mirroring scenarios, but so far they are unable to get the specific packets they need.

The call recorder and IP phones are in the same VLAN.(Vlan 200). The signaling server is in VLAN 100 which is the TLAN. Does anyone have any experience or insight as to what may be the roadblock on this.

Update to this post..

I had to move the call recorder and recorder gateway device into VLAN 100 and then turn on the many to one port mirroring on the 5520 to send all of the traffic for all of the active ports on the switch to the port where the gateway is connected.

Eventide also had to load some form of code onto their recorder to get it to read the Nortel information. I am still trying to get them to tell me specifically which devices need to be mirrored to their gateway since mirroring a whole switch is just not realistic.
