Has anyone tried having a user as a VOIP and Digital virtual user and have it work sucessfully?

I have done it on a 81C 4.50W....I2004, 2050 Softphone and 3904 digital set. Works fine. All three had the same DN on keys.

We have a user as 3904V and I2004 but we are unable to get the calls to roll to the second line, the second call goes straight to voicemail.

Check the marp. it must be on the set with HTA in the CLS and a LHK of 1. Remember calls will not hunt across feature keys.

key 0 scr xxxx
Key 1 scr xxxx

this will work

Key 0 xxxx
key 1 trn
key 2 xxxx

This will not hunt.

Maybe this will help, we have one user say Extn. 2000 built as a 3904v user and as a I2004 virtual user. You can only assign 2000 as key 0 on one phone, so we had to program key 1 with 2000 on the other.

Why can't you assign it to key 0? There is no limitation on this. Try it and post the error code so we can determine what is happening.

Here is what I found

SCH1945 The primary DN of a Virtual Terminal is not allowed to be a primary DN for any
other TN and must be defined as the MARP DN (Overlay 11).

No you just can't have Key 0 the same, you can put the same DN on another key on the other phone. say 2222 is on Key 0 on the Virtual Terminal and put that same DN on key 1 on the other phones.

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

We have tried that by when you call the extension it goes directly to voicemail

Sorry it just go through my thick skull that we were talking about a virtual 3904. As I have not used these I don't know their interaction. I was talking about a normal every day 3904 and IP sets.

We are getting close though can you post the TNB from both phones? I still think it may be a marp issue.
