I'm trying to void an existing general journal entry. I have called up the journal, entered "V" in the "void/reverse" field, entered a GL date & clicked "add", but end up with this error message: "Account must be entered".

I cannot alter the account numbers or trans amts (not that I want to anyways). Anyone know what is going on here & how I can void this entry? Sorry if this seems like a dumb-bum question, but I can't seem to find what the matter is!

What version of JDE are you using? In Xe & B733 you tend to delete the Jnl and it automatically creates the void but you need to have AAI's setup correctly so it know which clearing account to use for the void process (from memory).

We are using WorldVision 7.3. Thanks for the reply, but it is now working.

I had to click on "change" (or C on the green screen), rather than add, however, it didn't work for the first few times, but decided to change it's mind ). I logged a call with JDE support, as I had been getting an "action invalid" error before it started to work.

Thanks again for the reply.
