New set of DID's (starts @ 6XXX). Operator unable to send calls to 6XXX extension voice mail. Gets message "you have chosen an invalid extension number."

I have all the sta and voice mail already programed into the switch. However when the front desk operator gets a call and wants to place the incoming call to the anyone in ext 6XXX vm get a message that it is invalid. Also the operator does not have to enter the whole digits just by pressing the number 6 right away she get the invalid message.

Hope I was clear enough.

BTW the sta and vm all work fine.

Hi Shazz,
Check the public numbering unknown on the PBX, not the Audix.

I'm not convinced it's the public numbering. Shazzam stated the vm boxes work fine otherwise. Shazzam posted the wrong auto-attendant earlier. The "name" auto-attendant was posted, not the "x-fer to audix".

What's going on is the operator is trying to transfer a call directly to someone's vm without ringing the desk phone first. So an auto-attendant in audix is used. In this case, it appears to be 2500. You can see the operator dial 2500 as part of the trace. 2500 matches with the xfer to audix auto-attendant. The auto-attendant prompts for the extension number of the mailbox. 6 is not defined in auto-attendant 2500.

Shazzam, post the programming for 2500 please.

Hi Rock,
Agreed, except that Shaz did start by saying that the 6xxx was a new extension range he had created. He should modify the pub unk table anyway.
