Ken - I have 24 installed ports with 18 authorized and 18 used. Looking at the port assignments under Menu 4, we have 2 ports with a Y in the M column. They are on port 1H (ext 7008) and port 2H (ext 7016). All other columns on these two ports have N's in the columns. This Octel 250 connects to a Definity with no other boxes hooked up. Looking at Menu 13, we are authorized for 600 voice messaging and have used 284 and 87 application for a total of 371 mailboxes used.
You are absolutely correct - I am not very famailiar with the Octel. All I really know how to do is add and delete voicemail boxes. I have not had any training on the administration or maintenance on this box. The thing has been running fine for years. Then, recently, we started getting this error - folks listen to their messages and the light stays lit. It is not consistant will all users. It is very random. Based on what you directed me to here, we might have something wrong with one of these two ports which would explain why it isn't consistant 100% of the time. Your thoughts?
