VoiceMail with Softphone.

I have an BCM 400 v 3.7 and i2050 softphones, is it possible to have voicemail even if the softphone is not connected?

How? Right now it says "Not in service".

Ok that works, however how can our receptionist transfer a call to a softphone and go to voicemail if no answer?

You can also setup the "Keep Alive" option on the DN. This will keep the extension active even when the phone is down. However this will burn an IP license.

FYI, you only will get "Out of service" from internal calls. If you receive calls through the AA then it will be picked up by call pilot immediately when the extension is dialed if it is not alive.
