I have spent about an hour searching for an answer to this problem I am having. If I 4 digit dial a MCR number at a remote site, on a no answer situation, I get into VM. If I call the same number from an external line it will ring forever. I have compared the TNB to others at different remote sites and see no differences. Any ideas?

look at the MARPED set hunt and fdn.

I thought it should ring forever on mcr.

Marp'd phone fdn goes to VM and hunt goes to VM but still will ring forever. The issue that is confusing me is that 4 digit dialing of the dn succesfully goes to VM, but 10 digit dialing of the same dn will never go to VM.

Something else that I should have mentioned is that this a SRG. Here is the TNB
The Dn that is causing me issues is MCR 4690 on key 2.

Are you sure the MCR is ringing? Could you have an entry in the IDC tables for this number sending it elsewhere?

Yeah, I have it appearing on a set in the switch room. I thought of the same thing trvlr1. Thanks though!

The DN was already programmed in VM... Here is the print from the DN

Lhk should be set to 1 so they can get a rollover call and LPK should be set to 2 so they just have to pickup the handset.

Make sure the call is ringing on that specific set. If they are on the line then it would ring the other phones but not that one and therefor would not follow the programming.

something I have done in the past was program an addon module for the switch room phone(even though it did not have one) and place the marp on that set with a key on the addon module set for mcn instead of mcr. that line on the switch room phone will never be in use except when call rings in but it will follow that sets programming.

I would build TN on any open port in the LUVU 2000 and program this ext on key 0 and set the marp to this Tn as a test and see if it works

Create a MARP TN that requires no phone and will never disable.

~Pick a Data TN from a digital line card - a TN unit from 16 to 31.
~You might want to select the corresponding DATA TN from a TN associated with the DN you need to MARP.
~Enter appropriate HUNT and FDN values
~The important CLS entries are FLXA and VCE, however, you will need to select HTA(htd), FNA(fnd) and possibly CPTD.
~Enter the DN(s) you need to MARP, starting on KEY 0.

You could try to set CLS CFTA and set EHT and EFD to VM
This should works.

Thanks for all the ideas! I'll try them out and let you know how they work out. I really appreciate all the input!
Thanks again!

Finally an answer, someone on the remote end had call forwarded the number to a set with no call forwarding going to VM once it was removed.... Presto. Thanks for all the ideas on this one guys.
