We have a IP Office on 9.0.3 with VM Pro. Using Office 365 for the email. When you setup the mailbox to forward, you don't get the message in the email. If you set it to copy, you do get the message in the email. Any Ideas? I'm kinda stumped.

Thanks, Scott

That makes no sense, weird

Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Is this an Release 9 issue?

Yes, like I was saying, they get an email if they voice mail option is set to copy. But the end user wants forward only. When it is changed to forward, they no longer get the email. It really does not make sense to me. What's the difference between a copy and a forward as far as IP Office see's it?

Scott you may of just found the latest bug in IP Office, escalate to Avaya

Scott,
Do you have UMS setup and working in Exchange? Is UMS selected in the users voicemail tab?

Do you have AvayaVoicemail as your service account in voicemail pro?

The difference between the two is forward it set to (or should) sync with your phone, the MWI light will show up as well as an email in your inbox. If you mark the message as read or delete it from email it should be removed from the phone and vice versa.

Copy doesn't sync and puts it in both places. Also with copy you can't play the message in your inbox you have to download the .wav before playing.

Setting up Forward can sometimes be a pain in the ass, we had to run some powershell scripts giving AvayaVoicemail
Code:
Add-RoleGroupMember "View-Only Organization Management" -Member "AvayaVoicemail"
Get-RoleGroupMember "View-Only Organization Management"
Get-MailboxDatabase | Add-ADPermission -User "AvayaVoicemail" -AccessRights ExtendedRight -ExtendedRights Receive-As, ms-Exch-Store-Admin, ms-Exch-Store-Visible

It requires some tweaking to get it right... was it working before 9 or did you start with 9?

driven0 was more clear for you @Scott,

Pay attention with your Mail Server... protocols and etc. I can only with public domain (yahoo.com) because my mail provider doesnt permit these traffics (I dont know the "WHY" of history).

Can you try to configure this with other mail ? out of your network (domain).

They are using office 365, so chances are they are not using UMS.
