hey guys/gals

we've done some small installs recently and I'd like to give them all access to voicemail to email. problem being they all use email clients like gmail. anyone know of a work around

I'm sure they have at least one email address from their ISP. Why not use the ISP SMTP server/credentials?

Are they using Google Apps, or just straight up gmail? I ask because with GAPPS there is a way to setup a record to allow mail from an unsecured source (your phone system) so you don't have to use SSL.
Also, you could easily use GMX. I haven't had any trouble with it.

Ok so lets assume that they all have emails from there ISP, is it possible that the IP address of there ISP's server could change?

unlikely but possible

another option would be to configure a cheap PC to act as a mail relay Linux is an obvious contender here postfix & sendmail are available in most distress & will run of v.low cost har (a Raspberry Pi would be able to handle this without breaking a sweat )_

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear
