voicemail to email on hosted exchange.

Hi there all you brilliant people.

i know this subject has been covered previously, but i need asitance please.

IPO 500v2 with 7.0(23)
Hosted exchange and machine on site with valid email account.

i point the smtp setting in my ipo to the machine.
emails from and to machine works and perfectly.
I have enabled IIS and sub apps to relay email.

Still no luck.

I then created a pop account and tested that on the machine. All emails send and receive fine.

wait for it ....still no luck.
Please assist

did you configure the SMTP server under IIS?

Hi Kevin,

I have done all the steps as far as i know wrt the smtp.
Check the file on attachement.
i could not configure any thing under smtp, or should this be done else where.
I do apologise, but i'm not really a pc person.

Are you using VMPRO? Just throw outlook on the machine with a valid email account and point it at your hosted exchange and tell vmpro to use MAPI.

You don't need SMTP on the voicemail system.

OR just put in your SMTP credentials into vmpro.

OR if its embedded put them into SMTP under system settings in manager.

Some hosted exchanges will only allow SSL connections, so you'll have to do the mapi solution.

Or relay it via the smtp server on the location machine.

Almost without exception hosted providers are going to require secure authentication and neither Voicemail Pro nor Embedded Voicemail support this. You'll need to either use MAPI or relay.
