Voicemail to E-mail on Voicemail pro 2

I followed the knowledgebase. I am trying to send e-mail alerts using an external smtp server. When I entered in my e-mail server settings I get no error when i push OK or CHECK. When I leave a test message on a user that has e-mail notify on it does not reach my e-mail. I see the following error in my windows 2003 application event log.

EasyMail SMTP error!
Serverutgoing.verizon.net
01/24/08 13:44:18
503 5.5.0 No MAIL FROM command has been issued.

Is there a way to further customize VM to email settings so e-mail servers don't reject me?

I have a question on this - In the VM Client after you change from MAPI to SMTP - do you need any information in the MAPI Profile line and the MAPI password line?

I changed mine from MAPI to SMTP - OK Save&Make Live
Go to control panel and put in the required info - apply and check - OK.

* Server SMTP adress
* Account username and password
