voicemail to cellphone 1

I have taken over an older 3300mx controller with 8.0.11.7sw. Calls come in on PRI. when you call managers DID and she is out, you get her voicemail recording, then a system recording "to reach this persons cell phone press 2". If you press 2 you get "that extension not valid". I saw vm notification always and it has her cell. Not sure if that is even the correct place to set up. how can I make this call her cell or how can I get the 2 option recording turned off? Do i need a special license for this or is advanced vm enough. thanks

Most likely she just punched in her cell phone number without external line prefix. This is common.

thanks slapin. i hate to be ignorant but have never set this up. would she actually but her cell in at her deskphone or would i need to program in the system like voicemail to email. how would she do this and would the system forward the call or were you referring to co callforward

The option is in the personal dialing options.

Access via the users VM, Press 8 and then 2 and then (7?)

Best option is to erase the digits the user has programmed. There are many other steps required before the functionallity will work and based on your question it is unlikely they are set up.

thanks slapin and kwbmitel. that was the problem. no 9 before her cell number. i have one more odd question if either of you could help. this is on a 3300mxe with 10.0.1.23/ mcd4.0. when an extension doesnt answer thier personal vm recording plays. if they are on the phone or in dnd you get a mitel recording twice 'the person you trying to reach is on the phone, the person you are tying to reach is on the phone', then you get thier recorded message. how can i get rid of the mitel message?

I would say that name recording is missing.

In the Voicemail options turn off the Bilingual prompt.
