Hi

We have a problem where voicemail is silent when accessed either by calling a ddi or dialling *17. Using VM pro which has been restarted.

I have been looking on here for a similar problem and someone experienced this years ago but was to do with remote sites/licenses. there are no remote sites and the licenses are valid...Vm pro is running in intuity mode.

Does anyone know how to resolve this please?

Thanks

What release is this? there are some known issues with the 4.0.14 and 4.1 releases and there are private builds out for it. Try rebooting the IPO and it should come back up but may go back down again.

the IPO is on version 3.0.59 and the vm pro is on 3.0.19 which i am assuming is the correct version for the IPO?

Does you suggestion still apply with this version?

Thanks

With that i would say a reboot should clear it up. has it been happening a lot or is it just a 1 time thing.

it started happening around christmas time. I am about to reboot the IPO and see what happens

Thanks

How often does that happen?
The same is happening when the licenses go invalid, the voicemail will pick up but there will be just silence. Make sure the licenses are not invalid when that occurs.

this has happened ever since christmas. i am awaiting confirmation of whether the reboot has resolved this. when it was happening earlier the licenses were showing as valid

This is also happening on some 4.0 and 4.1 releases, I am wondering if that is maybe a Window update that causes it to react that way, becasue it only happened on the newest site of mine that had the PC updated and then I disable the updates after that. Just a thought though.

Here is another Thread where we were working in this issue.

I have a similar problem on 4.1.9 / 4.1.27 and it happens very infrequently but always goes silent over night. Any calls in just get dead air. IPO sees the vm is running and licenses are valid.

I'm just waiting for it to fail again to get a new set of logs.

just out of curiuosity, do you have the automatic updates enabled on the machine and if not when was the last time it has been upgraded (Windows upgrade), becasue it doesn't seem to happen on my older installs just the latest one from about 3 weeks ago.

Automatic updates is set and installing. Maybe I'll disable and start rolling back updates to see if i see any change. This has been happening for a couple of months now, just such long stretches between occurrences it hasnt been much of a problem.

the remote reboot of the phone system did not resolve this issue.

I also tried changing vm pro from Intuity mode to IP Office mode but this made no difference

I was told by Teir 3 to disable "automatically sync with Internet time server" in Windows Date and Time Properties>Internet Time. I was told that whenever the computer tried to sync time the voicemail starts answering to silence. I just did it yesterday so I don't know if it actually works.

I disabled it right now we will see in a few days if it comes back, but we will need to wait it up

I have the same problem, after 'something' the VoicemailPro stops responding. (Maybe is that also around Xmas? That will point on an update!)
But for the time being i put back a voicecard.

It is also not possible to record new voice files. The only thing that is recording is silense!

I've deleted all the files and software and i am gone try the install it again.

Does anyone know which update was release around xmas that could have caused this??

Thanks
