3300 v 9.0 I just added an ASU II to give certain analog stations caller ID. The problem is that now, when someone calls those stations, they wont transfer to voicemail.

I had to change the COS for those sets to ONS CLASS/CLIP

is this causing the problem? do I need to set up the ASU to be recognized by the embedded VM?

???????

if you have the version 9.0.0.41,you should upgrade to 9.0.1.17 because there is a known issue when connecting an ASU II to an ICP3300 runing version 9.0.0.41

Just have to ask some simple questions...
~ Have the sets been programmed for voicemail?
~ Has the Call Routing Assignment form been updated to send calls to voicemail? First Alternative has been changed to forward to the voicemail port.

Are you adding stations, or moving them from another existing device (AMB for example)? Perhaps it's just the wording that is confusing me. I'm missing the connection between the need for an ASU II and CLASS.

If you can access the voicemail mailbox from the ONS set, then it's a forwarding problem.

ynotphone: I just assumed that all the info was going to move with the number when I transferred it to the ASU II. I just updated the first alternate and VM started workimg.

Irwin: this customer has 3 peripheral bays loaded with analog line cards that arent caller ID capable, so they purchased an ASU II to get several important analog stations up and running with caller ID. they didnt feel upgrading the line cards was a good idea.

I see, but there was my ignorance/confusion. ASUs themselves don't generate CLASS, the system does, which is why I was wondering why it would make a difference. Bays however I don't think are capable of requesting CLASS on a line, but the ASUs can. I guess that's the reasoning.
