Having a weird problem, had receptionist re-record DBN_22 and DBN_23(Enter First name, Enter Last Name) Prompts... removed beep at beginning and replaced dbn_22.wav it works.. found out that DBN_23 didn't work.. checked the wav and it still had a beep at the beginning.. removed that and resaved file as DBN_23.wav.. no matter what I do for some reason the built in voice is still playing for that prompt.. from where I have no Idea, since the wav file is replaced.. restarted both vm services.. any ideas as to what is wrong?

Are you sure it is that file that is playing and not one that sounds similiar?

the 1 that is playing is the stock avaya operator voice saying enter last name and #. the weird thing is it is that voice saying enter last name and # even though we also re-recorded the and # prompt.. and that plays correctly for enter first name.. does it have backup's of the wavs files stored in some weird place to use when the other prompts are messed up or something?

should not be a backup file, run the debug view and see what really plays

I enjoy every moment of it :)

Debug view really does not give me any useful information..
Is there something I'm missing? all it looks like it's showing is the shortcodes from the autoattendant menu firing..first set is selecting to dial by first name which plays the prompt for first name that we recorded, second set is for dial by last name which plays the stock operator dial last name.. we modified both so that they are enter the first 3 letters of the name, so that people dont try to spell the whole name.. have a few names that are long and easy to misspell.. usually 3 letters works ok to find a name..

Set the Debug View to Level 9

Under
"View" "Debug Filters"
Then Select "vmprov5"
And set the Trace to "9 - high trace"

If you can navigate without prompts, rename the enu directory to enux, and create a new directory enu with no wav files in it. Make the call to the Dial By Name Action (without the prompts may be difficult) the debug view will list out the files it tried to play but couldn't find. May be a good starting point.

Thanks, apparently VM uses a mix of intuity and non-intuity now.. I was looking at the list for non-intuity.. DBN_21 and the and # prompt for first name play same for both but last name uses 118 and 224.. wouldn't have found those without renaming the directory

Hence the "Are you sure it is that file that is playing and not one that sounds similiar?"... glad you found it :)

yep, but without the removal of the enu directory i would've never found it since i didn't notice the us english intuity prompt list till after i saw the wav it was pointing to and the first name 1 matched non-intuity.. who would think that 118.wav would be related to Dial by name or last name..
