I am trying to program a menu with touch tones from 10-27, this is a list of employees on the main company auto attendant.
For some reason after I put in the sequence 26 and 27 they can not be selected. Does anyone know if there is a limit to the number of touch tones in a menu? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

See the attached screen shot.

Indeed, you don't add an entry for every extn that needs to be reached, you use wildcard entries :)

I understand using wildcard entries.

Here is what I am trying to do:

There is a list of 17 providers (medical office) and each of the providers has an assistant that their calls need to go to. Some of the providers have a 1:1 assistant where other providers share an assistant. Off of the main menu of the auto attendant there is a sub menu to reach the providers, I need a good way to list all of the providers and route the calls to the assistants. All of the assistants have 2xx extensions, I am hesitant in list out the extension in the greeting as there could be reassignment of assistants.

Thanks for all the help.

Then find a way to split them over 2 menus, alphabetically or by specialty etc or list one lot then timeout to the second lot in another menu :)

Or use wildcards and check $key and route accordingly, no need to add all keystrokes as individual DTMF entries :)

14 entries are allowed.

I would use ?? followed by a routing per variable. Or transfer to 99$KEY and create short codes in IPO like 9911/Dial extension/201

if this is in north America, I would stay away from the short code suggestion from derfloh above. 9911 would not be a good idea.

There must be a better way of doing this, if there are more than 5 option in an AA I would just hangup.

Good hint Grebeard... Just use 98..

And create another code 98xx/VMCollect/"WrongOption" that plays an info message that the chosen option is not available and transfers back to the originally used module.

This is so true.

I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

why not just have a company directory on the auto attendant

Maybe create a phantom user named after each provider and then have that phantom user forwarded to the appropriate user/group that they need to forward to. Then, have a dial by name directory where they can dial their provider name to be connected to the proper extension.
