Hey,

The Environment:
IP Office 500v2 - 11.1.2.2.0 (from 2013!)
Application Server Virtual: 11.1.2.2.4
Phones 96xx Series (mostly), J100 Series

Problem:
Customers Voicemail (Group) gets ~180 Recordings daily. For some reason there are 730 unopened recordings at the moment.
The phone (Visual Voicemail) shows (customer state:) "busy" when someone trys to open the mailbox. J179 and 9611 facing the same issue.
User Portal is not loading - timeout - not related to that.

Last time, when this heppend, i deleted all messages. But this time that should not be the option.

Sysmon is listing all recordings like the phone is reading the directory or getting information
Code:

Last time, when this heppend, i deleted all messages. But this time that should not be the option.

Dial *17 and log in to the mailbox to listen or delete these recordings.
Other than that you can use an SSH session to download the recordings from the server and then delete them from the mailbox.

Thx, but that is what i also thought of.

I'll need to prevent those 3 seconds or less recordings ...

You keep saying recordings - are they actually recordings of calls or do you mean messages left by callers. (Sorry to be pedantic but the terms recording and message are important in regard to how the system potentially handles them).

If they are recordings, how is the recording configured, seems odd that you are getting lots of short recordings so maybe needs some change in the configuration for when the actual start of recording gets triggered.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

Sorry - my bad - i've meant messages left by callers. Almost forgot the "call recording to voicemail" feature.

My solution for this issue was the following:

Prevention for new messeges: Minimum Recording Time 5 Seconds, Maximium Recording Time 120 Seconds

Working on old files:

i removed every Opus File smaller than 10Kb in /opt/vmpro/Accounts/[groupname]/ with following command:
Code:
find . -type f -size -10k -name "*.opus" -exec rm -v {} \;

Now ~500 Messages under 5 seconds lenght where deleted. I restarted VMPro to reload the database.

Worked like a charme, now the remaining ~250 Recordings could be opened from Visual Voicemail.
