Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help. A customer of ours depends on AutoAttendant. Here is what I have done/my issue:

• I have upgraded a IPO V2 from version 6 to 8.1(95)
• Tested VM Pro/Auto Attendant, fine
• Tried to upgrade to Version 9.1.1 Build 10, said I needed to upgrade to 8.1(8?)+
• Found that a few files never upgraded to 8.1(95) so upgraded these
• Then upgraded to 9.1.1 Build 10 and now VM Pro does not work. We just get a Line Busy. Other Incoming/Outgoing calls are fine, just VM Pro that is the issue. VM Pro Client looks fine(it has IP of IPO), but if you look under Users, nothing is listed. I reset the password in Security Settings and changed in VM Pro Client in case it was that, no good. I have installed VMPro on my laptop to test, same issue. I have rebooted the VMPro server and service and IPO, still the same.

Has anyone experienced this before/can you help???

Hi,

Just to add, I have installed VMPro on my laptop and set the IPO to point to this. Same issue. My laptop is plugged into the same switch as the IPO and the Windows Firewall is disabled. I have also disabled AV, so cannot be Firewall related.

In R9.1+ you need set a new password for Voicemail in the Security settings, then enter the same pwd in VMPro client> F9 > General Tab> Voicemail Password.
(it can't be blank or default)

Kind regards

Gunnar

He,

Thanks for your reply. I have already tried this as mentioned in first post :p

I reset the password in Security Settings and changed in VM Pro Client in case it was that, no good

If you did that, you need to make a new unique password in the Security settings for Voicemail that meets the minimum complexity.

If you meant "I changed the password in Security Settings", make sure it's not any of the default pwds like Administrator, Maintainer, password, etc.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Hi, thanks for coming back to me again.
The password is a random word that is 11 chars long, with 1 Capital letter and 2 numbers. This should be OK shouldn't it?

So you changed it then:) Your new pwd should suffice.
Check Monitor and Dbgview.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Hi,
Resetting the Security Settings via the console fixed my issue.
Thanks for all of your help.

Then you had a mismatch on your password entry in VMPro[smile]

Kind regards

Gunnar

In my experience you should always reset the security settings when you upgrade to 9.1
You should not have to but i experienced with all kind of problems when you do not do that.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Just had the same problem. Upgrade 8.1 to 9.1.2 and Voicmail PRO won't connect.
It did work after resetting the security settings, followed by the promt to change Admin, Security and System passwords.
This was enough. No voicemail passowrd needed.

When you set a new Voicemail password, you need to enter that in your in your VMPro client.
If not the User list+++ won't load and you can't make any changes.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Maybe this is deferent for AppServer or Server Edition?
I have a windows VM here and there is no problem accessing the user list or changing the config.

Try changing the rights in the properties field of the Avaya programs folder.
