Voicemail Pro Email Problems

Hello All...

I am trying to configure voicemail pro email. I am in the control panel and have clicked on "IP Office Voicemail Pro". I have configure my mail server settings and when I click in check, I get the following error message:

Failed to login to the mail server (SMTP) using the specified authentication method, error 0 [0].


The mail server that I am attempting to use is our server located on the same LAN as the voicemail pro server.

Any suggestions?

in the vmpro gui did you set the preference to mapi, or smtp

i prefer smtp as i have done it more.

I tried SMTP and set the mail server (IP of mail server on LAN) and username and password. I get the error 0 [0]. When I do this. Seems like an authentication problem... can't quite get it to work.

look at the settings for an em client set up and working already on your lan.

also, try setting up the em client on that machine for the em account you are trying to use, and test it.
