Voicemail Pro cutting off messages

A new installation, and VoiceMail Pro 4.0(27), running in Intuity mode. System is a 412, running 4.05.

When an outside caller leaves a message, it will cut off the message after 10 seconds. I have examined a few of the messages, and they are actually on 4-7 seconds in length, and are then cut off, even thought the voicemail says they are 10 seconds in length. Other times, the messages are longer, but the end is still cut off. It is very intermitent.

The VMpro system is an XP Pro SP2 box, antivirus disabled, and has the firewall disabled. The 412 and VM server are connected to a switch, and I have set the ports to 10Mb, half duplex, which did not help either. Any ideas???

Are they alog trunks?

If so create a no user source number of

VM_TRUNCATE_TIME=0 and reboot.

A new install on 4.0.5
Upgrade to 4.1.12 and try again
Also upgrade the voicemail pro !

The 412 was already there, just the VM pro is new... We did not want to run the VMPRo on a different core level, as that has caused problems in the past.

Puregold: I put in that source number. I will let you know if it works.

messages cutting off and Auto Attendants operating wacky is a indication of analog trunks not beind with spec. Check the loop current or ask the provider to.
 
Still upgrading is a good thing
the 4.0 wasn't that good with a lot of reboot issues

In 4.0 versions by default VM pro will trim 7 secs off any message being left over an alog trunk.

It does this to remove any busy tone etc that you may experience if disconnect clear isnt working.

The above source number stops it trimming anything, for scenarios where disconnect clear is working and the trunk clears straight away.
