When I try to dial into voicemail on a new system it rings busy.
I hired a "tech" to work on a system for me and I have a "few" issues. The biggest is the voicemail. It is not working, it won't create the mailboxes on the server, etc.

Now that I am at 3.2 you can not enter a password to connect to VM Pro.

Versions for all systems:
Voicemail Pro 3.2(15)
Phone Manager 5.2(17)
Switch 3.2

Frustration has set in...please help.

Does the Voicemail service have enough rights on your server?

Does the Voicemail server have any firewall installed that would stop it from communicating with the IPO?

Yeah thats right but i would simply stop and start the voicemailpro and keyserver service if you haven't already tried.
I have a batch file that you can run which will automatically clear all needed ports through xp firewall. if you think you need it then message me and i'll email it to you.
As for the password issue, just make sure in system programming via manager thats each user under there vm tab has a password and then reboot the system using the 'immediately' option when you save.

ok, well that helped immensely! Both of you.

There was a firewall on the server. VMPro runs as a system service so it has enough rights.

I also restarted the key server at the same time and VIOLA!

Graham, I'd be interested in that batch file. I'll message you later.

Thanks again, I was starting to go crazy and I have to deploy the system tomorrow. This was the last piece.

No probs mate, good to be able to help.

Thanks for the star...

Graham

Graham,
I didn't see a way to message you about the .bat. Do you have a site that you could post it to?

No and sorry i've only just realised that you can't message privately on this forum.
give me an email and i'll send it to you mate....its only tiny.

Just found this out today, there is a new AvayaFW.bat file that opens additional ports and exceptions. I am told it came out just a few days ago. Got it on the ftp site.

Progc i've sent you the one i have anyway, hope it helps.

Graham
