Hi everyone,

independently of the version of the voicemail pro. sometimes some recurring bug that occurs.
example:
When navigating from one module to another, the module over the other copy.
The connector between certain point is not done with modules copied.
etc ...

you have problems like this soon with Voicemail Pro and Windows 7? Voicemail Pro is it more stable with Windows Server or Linux?

It sounds like a client issue, so the back end hosting it wouldn't matter....

Expect this problem couple of time with release 8 - 8.1 - 9 ...

Self-duplicating over another module? Never seen that happen, and I practically live inside VMPro [smile]

Connecting strings not attaching? That can happen.
Usually means that you try to do something that can create a conflict or impossible action.
(or your client has been running for ages, in need of a restart)

Kind regards

Gunnar

Self-duplicating happen to me earlier today. My module AttFr duplicate all the module and wave files and transfer on the module AttEn... just by moving from one module to other. Seem to have a glitch, the name of the module dont change but all the configuration has been copied.

For the connecting strings that happen to me when i create a voicemail pro offline and import the mdb module online. After when i want to make modification the connection dont work between the choice on menu and the transfer exemple... i need to recreate the module online.

Try naming modules something else than AttFr/AttEn. I.e ivr_fr and ivr_en

I don't use win7 for customers, but when designing stuff, it's on a win7.
Is this happening on multiple pc's or just one?

Kind regards

Gunnar

No just one on one, never happen on multiple module.

That was an unexpected answer.

Let me try again.
Is this unwanted copy behaviour only related to one particular computer?

Kind regards

Gunnar

not exacly...

First, yes the voicemail pro client are on the server.

On the voicemail pro you have short code with hour condition to go on programmed module.

on the module i have
AttFr
AttFrN
AttFrC
AttEn
AttEnC
AttenN
whith all the automatic answer program.
when i going with my mouse between a module an another to make modification. sometime... something happen.
Exemple
The configuration of the AttFr paste all there configuration on the AttEn, look like a drag and drop. All the configuration before in the AttEn are missing... gone..

That happen when i make lot of modification on a Voicemail pro and appen maybe 5 or 6 time since 2 years, and not on the same Voicemail and not at the same version...

That was a closed-end question.

Are you saying that the VMPro is installed on a server, but you maintain it from a VMPro Client on a pc running win7?
(something got lost in translation, literally...)

But, VMPro can get confused by all you similar named modules, add some creativity to it and don't start with AA or Att

You know what, upload the .mdb, post the link here. I'll feed that to one of my servers tomorrow.

Ok?

Kind regards

Gunnar

I have seen modules copied.
Don't save but go back to another module and look again.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

Well, now he describes a cut/paste behaviour.

Kind regards

I have had this happen when you click on a different module and i haven't seen it happen for a while already.
It seems to be a 8.x problem.
Just slowly click on the modules and see if they are alright.
Only then save it.

Ok Thank TLpeter, i'm happy to see i'm not crazy and the only one to expect this problem. My first and only question is maybe the problem came by Windows 7... Maybe more stable with Windows Server or linux ! So i'm gonna try to change the name of the module but i'm pretty sure that not the problem.

The voicemail pro are on a HPZ420 server WITH windows 7 ! And i work FROM this computer...

Mr Gunnaro ! I'm sorry for my english, i do my best so... i chalenge you to do the same thing in french ! Maybe you gonne repect a little bit more my capacity to be understand...
Thank you

We Use Windows 7 too.
The module itself is not gone until you save it, then it will overwrite!
When it happens then simply click a bit longer on a different module and then go back to the module where it happened.
You will see the original module config back.

By all means, write your technical question in French.
I did not bring up your English skills in any of my posts.
(And for the record, it's my 2nd language as well.)

I've probably never seen this behaviour because I always work directly on the servers, never via a remote client.

Does this happen when you work directly on your server?

Kind regards

Gunnar
