Hello,

We are running an IP Office version 9.0 (12) and voicemail pro client version 7.0 (19). When we push the message button it does not go directly to the user mailbox, but it is asking to login with the extension and password.

Yesterday I did create a new extension on the system and it did want to reboot the system, but it merged rather than rebooting.

Any suggestions would be great. We have not rebooted the IP office yet and plan on doing that this evening.

Intuity Mode prompts for ext/pswd, IP Office Mode goes direct into mailbox. Check how your voicemail is set under System.

The voicemail system is set to voicemail lite/pro. Now on the voicemail pro client under system preferences the "Default telephone interface" is set to Intuity rather then IP office.

On the user. Source number tab. set the V+ ext number.
IE, for extension 123 set V123

Then the settings for Intuity or IP Office mode is in the VM Pro, not in the Manager.

I believe embedded with Intuity was introduced in 8.0 and you are 7.0, so check in the VM Pro

For some strange reason we are finding that all of our voicemails and greetings have been deleted. We did not remove any settings on the system. All we did was add an extension and add a user to a hunt group.

I would call an Avaya Business Partner at that point. Someone in your area can come out and figure out what happened and should be able to retrieve your greetings/messages unless someone deleted them from the hard drive.

We already went to our business partner and they suggested to reboot the ip office.

I would say an on-site visit from your business partner is in order. If they don't agree maybe it is time to look for better support.

In the VM Pro default start points add a "get mail" action to the collect start point, set the specific tab to callers mailbox and that should stop the prompt
