Is there anyway to use Voicemail Pro to to run short codes on the system?

example:
A voicemail Timer to Set ARS (SIP Lines) ON or OFF, I don't mean a time profile where both conditions will happen regardless, the scenario is... someone turn ARS VoIP off (temporaly quality on that trunk isn't very good) but forgot to turn back ON. Voicemail Pro runing a timer that would enable the ARS back ON every morning or something like that. Any suggestion?

Another One.
Enable/Disable Hunt Group, or HG Night Service ON/OFF from a Voicemail Call Flow. I tried that but dodn't work, I can call an external number/extn but I can't execute all sorts of short code from there, or am I doing something wrong?

Talking About IP 500-V4.2 & VM Pro-V4.2 as well

cheers

The first one is not easy but you could try it with the "set alarm" action

The second one can be done
If you use 5.0 you can use a generic action and then select a generic command for changing user or group configuration
Then set the operation mode to "set" and use service mode

If not on 5.0 then still use a generic action but put this in the "specific" field

CFG:SET "200" service_mode 1

Thanks tlpeter, where can I find a complete list of CFG:SET "Whatever", are there commands for all short codes "Features", or just a few?

you say: "changing user or group configuration"
In your example you mentioned, CFG:SET "200" service_mode 1.
This is available only for user or groups? Is there a Set command to enable/disable ARS as well?

cheers

The service mode option is only for groups !
Download the 5.0 vmpro and use that client
Make an oflline module an look in to the generic action
Then you get all the working CFG features (in 5.0)
Most work in 4.X too

For turning on and off an ARS you need to use shortcodes
You could set an Alarm to check if ARS is turned on or off

Make a module with a alarm set action and then a transfer to the shortcode for turning of the ARS

You need to try it because i am not sure this will work !
