We have voicemail pro installed with an attendant. When an outside call comes in it takes about 3 rings before the auto attendant comes on. I am wondering if there is a way to shorten the amount of rings or have it pick rite away.

Hi, it depends on the way you present the call to the VM Pro.
If you have an incoming call route for a call you can do two things to let this call be answered by VM Pro.
The first one is via a shortcode, this will delay the answering of a call.
The other option is to enter "VM:<modulename>", this will put the call direct into VM Pro without any delay.

If you are using analog trunking and the trunk type is "Loop Start ICLID", this will also cause a delay.

Also remove any # if it appears it the short code used to transfer calls to the attendant.

Please note we have had issues with vmpro dropping some calls from some pstn carriers when you remove the # and make it answer immediately.

It seams as if the part of the network setup message is lost or is to slow so the call into the vm gets cutoff.

Make sure you rest it first with the different PSTN carriers.
