I've got an aging IP Office system which has been working great for almost 15 years now. The PC that hosted the voicemail, well, I can't say the same.
What are my options? The drive was never backed up and we can't seem to read anything off of it.
So, I'm resigned to having to build the voicemail infrastructure from scratch; but I don't know where to start. It doesn't seem to be as simple as making sure the new machine has the same IP as the old machine and hoping the default voicemail system is just magically detected.
As I said, it was an OLD system, still running XP, and I think the VM was running 3.2.x
I've got a USB dongle which I assume is for licensing. I loaded up the Sentinel drivers, put the dongle in a Win 7 machine and downloaded a new version of the VM Pro client but I'm not sure where to go from here.
I'm a network admin, not a phone admin, and tho I could change extensions names and button programming, this seems a little above my pay grade. The vendor who installed the system isn't reachable, so I don't exactly know where to turn.
This forum has been an invaluable source of help over the years, so if there's someone here who's interested in some archeology, I'd love to talk.
Thanks,
Jeff
