Hello!

I have ran into this a few times but never worked on a resolution for any of the customers (passed off to other techs or they never called back). After upgrading the customer's system from an older release to a newer release (I unfortunately don't have the specifics yet) when a user logs into their personal voicemail, no options are listed out to the customer. The wonderful Avaya lady does not prompt the user to listen to messages, record messages, etc. I have also seen this after the user listens to a message. The message finishes playing and then nothing; silence.

Is this a known issue with certain releases or did someone do the upgrade wrong?

Is this Embedded, VM Pro IPO mode or VM Pro Intuity mode?

Janni, this is VMPro, and I'll let you know the mode as soon as this customer calls me back.

Sgrosman if you want help form anyone who is not psychic you need to provide some context:-

System type (IP500 V1 Ip500V2 Ip 406ds etc.)
Software version (in your case from & to )
Version of VM
Full details of fault, does the rest of the VM work , does the cust get the messages if one is left, what you have checked so far etc.

as a stab in the dark I would ask is Voicemail help ticked for the users?

If the system is voicemail pro check to be sure you are pointing to the proper directories. I have seen people migrate voicemail and the directories are in ProgFilex86 but the directory is pointing at the 64 bit (or vice-versa) program files folder. Just throwing suggestions into the wind until more details are provided.

This was embedded voicemail, 9.0.5. The issue was the technician who did the upgrade, did not install the "Embedded Voicemail Audio Files" portion of the Admin Suite and so the Voicemail Files were missing. Ran Change in Windows, Embedded File Management --> Upload Voicemail Files fixed the issue.

I was typing the answer to upload EVM prompt files but saw the post that it is VMPro... So I deleted my text again ;-)
