Is it short on hard drive space, I have often seen similar on Callpilots when the mailbox size is not capped in Maolbox Class and people don't clear out messages or just never login for years.
Had a site in India who thought the red lights on the phones meant they were working and thought there was some thing wrong after upgrade because they were not all switched on at the site. Lamp audit cleared that up after 20 mins or so all the red lights on all good
I would change spme or all of the COS tables so that any READ messages are deleted after a few days. Also check for any unused mailboxes and delete them if not required. Finally check the useage and ask the users or reduce their mailbox size.
I forgot to add that it's worth doing some housekeeping by listing out all the mailboxes that have expired / disabled etc and checking two things,
1) The size of the mailbox
2) When they were last accessed
If they were last used a long time ago, then I would delete it. If the mailbox is very large, then check if someone hasn't been accessing it such as an out of hours mailbox and make changes or delete it.
All this will take a while, but it will start to reduce the volume of data on the hard drive and start to create more space.
