Trying to add voicemail ext 202 to one of my 5330 ip phones. Mitel CX 3300. In Call Routing form there no entry for *202. So I can't reroute *202 to voicemail. How do I add *202 to the Call Routing form? What form do I use?

Are you trying to reroute an ext to the mailbox of another phone?

As an example.....if you have ext 100 and you want to reroute it to the mailbox of ext 200, create a nametag hunt group *200 and always reroute this to the voicemail hunt group, then give ext 100 a first alternative to *200

No I'm not. I'm trying route ext 202 to mailbox 202 and I'm getting not allowed.

There will be an entry for plain vanilla 202 then re route that.

I got it. *202 was not listed in hunt groups. After I added *202 to hunt groups *202 showed up in call routing form. I then set it up like estensions and it worked fine.

The *202 hunt group is set up specifically to be able to transfer a call directly to mailbox 202 without ringing the phone

You would route 202 to the voicemail hunt group pilot

Routing 202 to *202 complicates things and although it will work, I do not recommend it

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Agree with kwbMitel and wireman50......if you want ext 202 to reroute to VM, reroute 202 in the call rerouting form to the VM hunt group

I was under the impression that you wanted to drop the call into an alternative mailbox, thats why nametag huntgroups were suggested

Agreed why are you talking about *202 for when you obviously are trying to reroute 202 to voicemail?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Don't know why but that is the way the progamming of voicemail in my Mitel 3300 CX was done. I just copied the way it was done for other extensions. That's how the company that setup the system did it.
