I have a voicemail pro (ver 3.1.18)that was runnng fine for 2+ years and now (for the last month) the messages and voicemail pro (audix menu) messages are all garbled. I have rebooted the pc, but nothing changes.

What should my next step('s) be?

Thanks

Is it a performance issue with the PC itself???

Check the system resources.

Can you get another PC in to test the config and Wav files??

Do the Wav files that are garbled play ok through the speakers with Media Player??

Fooball is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

Run all maint on the PC itself, start with defrag.

RE-record one of your AA prompts, and see if re-recording will fix them first.

If WAV files play fine over speakers or headphones on PC, and this issue is a constant issue via phones, RE-install the current version of VMPRO server.

I assume you know how to export call flows, back up needed WAV files for restoration. After backing up WAVS, take them to another PC, and try to play them, if they are still garbled, you will probably have to start over recording all of them.

HI I HAVE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE AND FOUND IT WAS A NETWORK ISSUE, I GOT AROUND THE FAULT BY PLUGGING THE VMAIL PC INT THE IP OFFICE SWITCH.

We have seen sparatic issues if we do not set the network adapter to 100Mbs Full Duplex. By default the adapter is set to auto-negotiate and we often get choppy messages. Once we set it to 100 Full we don't have the issues any more.

Sorry for the late response... it’s the intuity default system announcements are acting up. You know the, "Please enter extension and # sign." I have set the network card to 100/full. I have just reloaded the software and the same messages that were having issues before are still having issues.

Still... if it worked for two years then it is time to buy a new PC, two years powered on without disruption is quite a long time for a PC.
The least thing i should do is to swap the hard disk and re-install the OS and VM Pro

Sorry for the delayed response - A piece of network equipment between my switch and router was set to 10/half. Once corrected, all issues went away.
