Does anyone know if voicemail light is running on windows 2008 server?

This is a pretty vague post.

can you explain a bit more?

Voicemail pro running on 2k8 with an IP Office?

ah makes sense now, for some reason I was thinking the message waiting lamp wasnt working in VM ;-)

We have tried to install voicemail light on windows 2008 and that went ok, but it is'n connecting to the IP office.

Another PC with windows XP is working Ok.

Just wanted to know if anyone has this working.

server 2008 out of the box has all its network tightly secure via its built in firewall.

turn them off

Firewall is off and we used the avaya.bat file to open all the ports on the firewall.
We can ping and connect to the server but VM Lite won't run

Anti Virus programmes are very intrusive these days, try turning any off just to test that it isn't that, and make sure the firewall service is actually stopped even though it says off it isn't always totally off, other than that it may just not work on 2008 :)

@amriddle01

I know that it isn't supported. The old server crashed and they have a new one with wondows 2008 so we tried if we get it working.
No luck so far.
Firewall and Anti virus are both off.

So I think it just isn't working.

OK,

do this

Run in Compatibility mode. right mouse click, Select Compatibility, and try running it in Windows XP SP3 mode. Also when you run it, Run As Administrator.

The only other thing stopping it from running is the DEP (Data Execution Protection.)
