We have a definity g3si and intuity audix. Some phone extensions vm indicator will light up when they have messages(vm's) and some phones extensions will not light.
Please help.

The first thing I would check is the set types on these sets. Make sure that they are a 2500m type set or better. Also check the station forms to make sure voicemail is programmed on these sets and in Intuity.

If you find any mistakes, please consider that they are there for a purpose. And everyone needs a purpose.

check the staion forms on some that are not working and make sure they are setup properly. on any type phone make sure the message lamp ext is correct. On analog phone make sure that the message waiting indicator is set properly.

ok...The phoneset type is 8110 and they have a coverage path going to the vm hunt group. The message indicator light is set to led and the message lamp extension is set to the same extension.

Try another set. The 8110 sets are bad about the message waiting light bulbs burning out. Also do a status station to make sure that they have a message waiting.

If you find any mistakes, please consider that they are there for a purpose. And everyone needs a purpose.

I have changed the phones as well, if I do a status station xxxx, they message indicator is blank, but when you call into vm, she will have vm's. I have sent her several vm's.

It sounds like your Intuity is not activating your message waiting indicator. Chech the Intuity froms to make sure that they are programmed correctly. You may even want to remove that subscriber and add them back to see if that will make a difference.

Have the user make sure that "all" messages are listened to and then deleted. Then try leaving another message and see if the lamp lites.

I have had this problem before if there was a power outage and the Audix went down ( really need to get a better UPS, like one that works ). Anyways if I would then manually stop the VM system and reboot the message lights would work fine.

I have little experience with the Definity but I do know that if you have the off-premise field set to yes in the station forms it won't light the lamps either. This probably won't make a difference but you never know.

In the intuity, run an audit on the sub's and mailboxes....I have had the smae problem mand Avaya advised me to run these commands. Worked in my case.

Is this a "Centralized" voicemail with more then one site
if so make sure your "switch" id matches your dialplan

if not the last comment :

In the intuity, run an audit on the sub's and mailboxes....
is something to look at as well ....

we had an issue where
Avya had to call in Audix and do a database rebuild ...while this is running no message lights are
told to go on / off but it did work in our case it was
a nightmare at first

Centralized voicemail between 2 Definity and 3 legend sites
