Hi,

just trying to figure out if it is possible to have Voicemails internally with BCM50.

E.g. me (761) calling 762 - na answer and after 5 rings should go to 762's VM.

Not happening at the moment, 762's VM is activated though.

762 is forwarded to the voicemail extension after x rings?

It can work the way you want if configured corectly. Just depends on what is wrong.

CFNA needs to be set under set capabilities. After x number of rings it should go.

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

THanks for your replies.

I'm In EM under Config>Telephony>Active Sets>Cpabilities&Prefs - but can't find anything on Call Forward No Answer.

Check under line assignment there should be a column for Forward NO Answer

What doesn't kill you only makes you stronger.

Yep, found that one, call forwarding works fine (tested it with another set 761 > 762 >758), but the VMs are not kicking in - keeps ringing.

It should be under Config>Telephony>Active Sets>Cpabilities

This is a Signature and not part of the answer, it appears on every reply.

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

Just set up an information VM - can't even dial into that one (758).

Seems like EM "can't see" CallPilot.

Hm, it brings up:

CDN 1: None
CDN 2: None

Vmail works as far as you can can check it and compose message and send them to other mailboxes.

Have you mad any mailboxes yet or are you just asking if it could be done. You need keycodes for mailboxes. And it sounds like a callcenter dn.

@cook1082: Yep, 3 mailboxes have been set up, two subscriber and 1 info mailbox.

Can you access the MB? F 985 should give you the voice mail DN that is put in the call FWD location for the phones if you do not get that I would reboot.

Ok, now F985 brings up VM 774. I never set that one up anywhere. Have to have a look into that.

If any more ideas just keep me posted.

Thanks.

Ok, 774 is the General Mailbox.

Ok, here are the steps I am going through the following steps:

1. Going into CallPilot, set up a VM, eg. for DN 761
Mailbox No.: 770
Extension: 770
(Am I right to take an Application DN for VM - as VM is an application?)

2. In EM under: Telephony>Sets>Active Sets>Line Access
No Answer: 770
Fwd: Delay 2

3. Just a test in between, if I ring 761 I should end up in the GM as the 770 VM is not initialized yet, right? (not working)

4. F981 to initialize VM 770, everything's fine here - if I ring 761 now it rings 2x and then geting forwarded but keeps ringing (waited for another 6 rings) then - no VM at all.

The general MB is 100. 774 is the VM DN and that number is what you enter in the phones forward no answer. Do not make a MB for 774.
When you make a MB it should match the extention.

Did a reboot and when it wasn't working, deleted VMs another reboot and set up VMs again. Don't ask me why but it's working.

Still on Rls 2 and I have to check those core patches but we will update to 3 soon anyway.

The problem is you need training.

Vmail box should match the EXT DN.

you don't forward no answer to your Vmail box, you forward no answer to the Vmail DN and the Vmail know what DN you phone is and sends it to your Vmail box.
