Not sure what the issue is but I am using VMPro and whenever I try to get voicemail working it comes across the screen as incompatible. I attempted to move it over to Embedded VM and I got the same error. I'm sure there is something simple that I have overlooked.

Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance!

You haven't given us any details of the system, version, setup or what you've tried....:)

This is a very good point... Sorry I'm just starting my first cup of coffee for the day.

Right now we are just testing the setup. We have 3 phones that are hooked up. They are all registering correctly to the server. We are using IPO 9.1 and both the IPO and the VMPro servers have static IPs. As stated above I have attempted to move it to the embedded VM and I got the same error. Checked the firewall and it is off so I don't see anything that could be blocking it. Both servers have also been rebooted.

IP500?
Server edition?

VM pro password set in IP Office security settings and VM pro?

Firewall disabled? (for testing only)

Are you able to start VM pro client and connect to the VM pro server?

I'm guessing you don't have short codes configured for entering VM.

Kind regards

Gunnar

It is IP500

VM pro password set in IP Office security settings and VM pro? It surely is.

Firewall disabled? Correct to see if this was something that was causing issues.

Are you able to start VM pro client and connect to the VM pro server? Yep. The systems are talking but they VM is working.

Do you still have the default shortcodes in the system?
As Gunnar mentioned there might be the *17 missing

Since the embedded is not working either, that's my best guess.

Kind regards

*17 short code is still in place. When I try to access it that way it says number busy.

Firewall should not be the root cause if it doesn't work with embedded VM.

What about the settings about voicemail channel reservation under System?

What does SSA if you click on Voicemail? Does it show the type of Voicemail or "none"?

Voicemail Lite/Pro is your setting in Manager but not the status in SSA.

This could be a thousand things, in the words of Borat "In my country we say, letting the woman drive the car is like letting the monkey fly the plane"......I see monkeys :)

lol... I see lots of monkeys too! Let me see if I can get back to the server and get that config file.

Oh no the end is near people start quoting Borat instead of Confucious or Einstein. :)

nhartse1 make sure you take out any twinned numbers and incoming calls as well as numbering of any kind that would give away the customers phone numbers or email addresses.

we are a pretty good bunch here but you never know who is out there

Aaaaaand we figured it out. The distributer sent us a SIP card and told us to remove the and replace the daughter card from the combo card and replace it. Tracked it down to showing no VCM and replaced the original card and every thing is all working.
