Equip. Fibre Mics 4.1, 2xDTI Cards, 1xASM, 1xStation Module, 1xTrunk Module, 1xStand Alone Fibre Voicemail 4.0.04c 16 port VG3 with 16 Megs of RAM, 1xStand Alone Fibre Coinphony 3.40.0008 ACD 16 port VG2 16 Megs of RAM.

Situation: Voicemail is progressivly getting worse. Starts to reset itself twice a day now. Use to be once a month, then once a week, now it's twice a day. The odd time an agent would be talking on a call and then all of the sudden the call is dropped and the agent is automatically logged out.

Alarms and Events: System Test Log Event 995 000 S3 get a heapin load of these Event 995......... codes and it builds to the crash. What does it stand for? I get in voicemail Alarms and "Spm", "Languages", "Enough Disk".

Diagnostics So Far: Replaced Clocking Source 6 port Combo card. Put a Line conditioner/voltage regulator on so the NAM'S are protected. Switched V.M. Ports on the rosystem and on the expansion card. When testing noticed that event codes "995......." were created when the caller would call in the main Voicemail Greeting (picks up 0 rings) and select 2 for service (transfers to the ACD Que) and then again when the caller exits out of the ACD and goes to the que's mailbox.

Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanking you in advance.

first be very specific ...the acd is rebooting or vm rebooting..second acd reboot does not affect call that has been presented to agent only calls in que.. so ...you say vm reboots and acd call drops ...agent get log out are 3 different issues is it all three... if so and you are using pri i would start with upgrading to 5 or 6.1 on ksu also need vm to go to 4.1 "if going 6.1" and acd to latest version 3.60.0027 ....

Thanks.

Voicemail is the system that keeps rebooting. Yes these are all different issuses, just don't know if they are related.

We had an identical problem. We also would get some digitizing of certain messages. The HD in the VM NAM needed to be formated and reinstalled.

again lets start from begining if the agent drops a call its the trunk not the nam modules are you using pri t1's? next are 995 only error/alarms your getting? last but not least your in way over your head call the person who sold it or a real vendor and get it fixed...last time i had an issue close to this we replaced every piece of equipment on wall last 2 pieces fixed issue completeley ..software cleared pri issues system ...disapearing modules/ sleeping was ksu...nam"mine was cores" corrupted software replaces with brand new 4.1 and reloaded acd...."i the tech had choice reformatt or replace i chose replace with new" all this was done per itas"nortel" nam was right off assembly line. we replaces fiber patches, combo cards,station/trunk modules. now acd issue is once or twice every 3 months the sys"nam" freezes which is 100 times better than the customers network equipment.

Did some more testing upgraded to 5.0 on the MICS, cleared any PRI problems we were having. (For reference we have two DTI cards in the main cabinet running PRI's both set to Primary). Ended up chaning the clocking source card agian as a result of a D.O.A. card. Figured this out due to other problems arising immediately after the change. What are the freakin odds? The original vendor BELL. As for ITAS been there done that. That's why I'm here. There solution upgrade this, that and get new hardware for almost everything. So far things have been running smooth. I'll know better over time and will post any problems if any. Thanks for all the info.
