I am having an issue. I am attempting to setup a dynamic call flow which needs to be password protected and I want to use the individuals voicemail code to do this. Is there any way to pull in the voicemail code into a call flow and then compare it to a user entered value.

I have tried the CFG:Get $CP0(ext variable)voicemail_code $CP1(return value variable) in a free format generic action and then compared the $CP1 to the $KEY variable in a test variable action that I have them enter. I always get a fail result.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had thought you were trying to verify the user entered code against that of a specific mailbox, since the voicemail_code is a code associated with a mailbox that Avaya maintains.

If however you are looking for a passcode to protect callflows, this is a different problem.

For Example, you coud set up a user variable say "CallflowModule1234" and assign it a value say "5678".

Using the Callflow could use the Menu action to ask the caller to enter a Callflow Code followed by a '#'. Copy the entry to $CP1. At the Next action ask the caller to enter a passcode and copy this to $CP2. Then get the contents from user variable "CallflowModule$CP1" and test against contents of "$CP2". If the caller entered "1234#" and "5678#" the test would pass. Once the caller has been autheticated, they could be allowed to change the contents of the user variable by appropriate programming.

Your way would work but the password would be the same for every user. I need a way to make it secure for the individual user accessing the callflow to have a different passcode. I am think that without the access to the voicemail code my only other option is to use a database and pull in values that way.

Or to just do it my way :)
