Hi,

Hope you guys can help, I have a number of customers that have complained about the way the Mitel voicemail works, if they have a call that routes to voicemail on no answer - the call goes to a message stating something like.... you are through to joe bloggs I'm sorry I'm unable to take your call, please hold to leave a message or press 0 to speak to reception.

The problem i have, or should i say my customers have is - when a call is routed to voicemail when the phone is busy, you get a Mitel message stating Joe Bloggs is currently on the Phone please leave a message - what my customer wants is for the caller to press 0, however you are unable to listen to that part of the message.

Has anyone configured the Mitel to enable this to work differently?

Cheers

Andy

The EMEM voice mail (embedded Mitel Express Messenger) is designed to play a busy greeting, followed by the MB owner's regular greeting, followed by EMEM Advanced Options (c for cell, f for fax) if purchased, followed by tone, when a CFB event is passed to the EMEM.

I'm not clear what you are asking for specifically??

Hi TheMitelGuy,

Basically I'm getting the EMEM voice mail (embedded Mitel Express Messenger) busy greeting, followed by the MB owner's Name (not the regular greeting) from there i only get the chance to leave a message - what I'm after is to give the caller the option to press 0 to go to reception, I'm not getting this part as the caller does not get the MB owner's regular greeting.

Is there something that needs to be configured?

You need to record the greeting in the mailbox. If it is not programmed (recorded) it will not play.

Hi ThMitelGuy,

This feature is something I have never been able to get to work, every time my customers have recorded a message including their name - as I said when you call and you are rerouted to voicemail on no answer you get the users message. you just don't get the same message when you are busy for some reason.

Pardon my question (I'm a bit slow)...

So the users have recorded their mailbox greeting (yes??)

Users are on their phone, the Mitel reroutes the external caller to EMEM (as it's CFB to VM) and the system just plays the regular greeting, and not the "I'm sorry [user name] is on the phone" + the VM owner's greeting (yes??)

Are these phones multicalls? Is there more then one appearance of the extension number? If there is, the line is not technicially busy as there is more then one available path for the call and at that point it's just CFNA.
