We are in the process of wanting to setup Voice recording on our IP Office 412. We are running the 4620 IP phones. The reason for the recording is for managers to listen to the calls at a later time and check to see how the service reps are handling the customers. We don't want the rep or the customer know that the call is being recorded.

I go into the User on the config and click on the Voice recording tab this is my config:

record outbound - none
record inbound - 25 percent
record time profile - blank
Auto Record mail box - 2322 (A managers mail box)
Voice Recording Library is checked (Auto)
Manual Record mail box - blank
Voice Recording Library is not checked (Manual)

With this config if the rep takes a call they can hear this call is being recorded... this call is being recorded.. and the customer can hear it too.

I don't want it to do this... I know that is long and sorry but any help or ideas I can do to be able to complete this.

thanks

go to VM Pro GUI and uncheck play advice on recording under preferences/General - simple! VRL shouldn't be checked if you are chucking it to a actual mailbox - unless you are using Contact Store

thanks so much for the help.. It was checked and I have now unchecked it.

I have not made any configuration changes and now voice recording is no longer working. It quit working at the end of August. If I look at the Voicemail Pro PC I don't seen any new wav files. The configuration at the beginning of the tread is still the same and I still have the check mark off the play advice.

Please help

thanks

Is VM Pro definitely up and running (do a *17) - is it licensed? Try stopping and restarting the service in case.

Also, what version of firwmare/software are you running?

cheers

Try the following to get it up and running :

record outbound - none
record inbound - On
record time profile - blank
Auto Record mail box - 2322 (A managers mail box)
Voice Recording Library (Auto) - uncheck
Manual Record mail box - 2322
Voice Recording Library is not checked (Manual)

Set a button Action to CallRecord. And try to do a manual call record.

The software is Voicemail Pro 3.0(13). Voicemail is working fine people are able to retrieve their voicemail. I will try that config on one of my users and let you know.

How does the user trigger the recording to start?

thanks

sorry I didn't read your thread carefully, but how do I setup a action button?
