I have a Definity connected to 8-9 IP Offices. Each of them is connected to Definity over 4 or 5 IP trunks (dependes of location). Codec is G.729a.I have notice a very strange situation on system to system call, between Definity users (extensions) and IP Office users (extensions): after the call is set up, and both sides hear each other fine, after minute or two a side on IP Office faces a problems (gap in conversation, echoes and so on). Other side, Definity user, has no problem. It seems to me like IP Office buffer problem, but any idea is more then appreciate.
Thanks

I have 3 IPO's with each setup with IP trunks back to an S8700. The IP Trunks are setup for G.711 and everything works fine. Try running it with G.711.

Dear bdelmar,

thanks for response. I have a bandwidth limitation (using FR link, 256Kb/s, through that link goes computer data + voice signals), and that is the reason why I have to use G.729.

Do you get delayed voice?
Try running a ping while talking see if it gets higher
We had problems a few year ago with framerelay on an index
I have some 4602s connected to a 406 via ADSL & VPN, no QOS, we found we needed 1.5/256 we were getting 3 second delay in voice with slower connection.

Dear auEric, thanks on response. Actually, the main problem is that connection is established, both sides talk to each other for a while, and then IP Office user hears gaps in conversation (Definity user doesn't faces those problmes).

How is the frame relay connected to the ipoffice and what version is it running ?

Frame Relay is connected to our router, and router is connected to our corporate LAN switch. PC data running together with voice, over that FR, but there is no bandwidth problem (we check it all the time).
IP office is connected to LAN switch.

Sounds like configuration problems with the router then. These problems occur when running voice and data on the same wan link.

Is QOS and fragmention implemented ?

Our local supplier has provided us with an IP information questionaire, which should be filled out with the customer and data provider

Dear JeSTeROCK, could you please send me some IP info questionaire, the part you fill out, or just to write me what QOS and fragmentation is necesarilly. We have CISCO 2611 routers.
Thanks in advance

There is a post on here with a cisco config with QOS and fragmentation

as for the questionaire its the property of our supplier, i'm not sure if they would like me distributing it, so see how you go with the cisco config first and speak to your supplier to see if they have something similar
