Hi gang,
I am switching out a voice mail server to a system with some higher specs, here is what I got:

Avaya IP Office Unit IP403
Old System:
Manager 3.2 (53)
VM Pro 3.1 (18)

New System
Manager 3.2 (53)
VM Pro 3.2 (28)

What has me preplexed is that everything works perfect on the Old system. On the new system, the AA won't pick up when calling in? What am I missing? It obviously sounds like something with VMPro 3.2 (28), but I can't figure it out. I plug the old one into the network everythings good to go. I plug the new one in with the same config, AA tec. and NADA. is there something different in VM Pro (28) that needs to be changed? And yes, chnaged all the IP address etc.

Thanks for the help,
Mike

Well, then that's the way it is setup and wouldn't work:

*90
VoiceMailNode
Attendant

With Attendant located in the VMPro Client under "Start Points" "Short Codes" Attendant

and no worky :)

what do you see if you use monitor ?
start monitor and dail *90
do this with the old system and with the new system
compare the logs and look for the differences (and post them here :) )

Good idea, won't be able to try until after 5PM my time. I will let ya'll know!! I think maybe in the new version VM Pro(if I recall correctly) you need to have an Attendant "Module" not sure I will have to check it out as well.

Ya'll ROCK

Thanks,
Mike

no "module" required. for small setups I stay in the shortcode area. If I share items I will use a "goto" and then a module.

Were the WAV files relocated correctly? and a silly question, did you do a "save and make live

DUDE!!!! I think you hit on it!! The freakin' WAVE files have to be re-recored or moved!! DUH!! That has to be it. Yes did a "Save and Make Live" :) Your a genuis or I'm just slow. Should I re-record or just copy them over? GOD I hope that's it.....feeelin' REALLY smart right about now.

CYA!!

Mike

copy the entire WAV file folder and make sure it ends up in the same place as it was in the original system. Normally it is here
C:\Program Files\Avaya\IP Office\Voicemail Pro\VM\WAVS

That has to be it if you can hit *17 and voicemail answers.
