Ok, I have just upgraded a MICS and NAM II (Pent 100Mhz 32 Meg RAM) this last week. Now I have MICS XC 5.0 and 4.1 NAM II with 2 copper DVCs.

The voice mail answers the line 147 as desired, but answers with "please enter your mailbox number and password" instead of the AA menu prompt(s). I have made sure that the line isn't assigned to any other sets, and have checked

F982-
Atdt avail:y
Business open:y
answer lines: y
atdt:221 (correct)

F983-
Line 147
answer:y
rings:0
Table:1
Table 1- (greeting 1 is recorded)
AA menu prompt: y
Morn: 1
Afternoon: 1
Evening: 1
Non-Business: 1
Atdt: 221 (correct)
CCR Tree: disabled
(time of day stuff)
Option #4
Voice Mail : Y
Dir Avail: Y
Match: Both

That is all I can think of, I know that the GD mailbox is also turned on. Is there anywhere to turn??? :)

Thank for ANY help the group can provide!

"please enter your mailbox number and password"??
That does not sound to good...you should only get that greeting if you press ** after you start to listen to main greeting (greeting 1, Menu Prompt or Path 0).
What you have done so far is correct...are you using the CCR Tree? if so make sure it is enabled also.
Try a reboot via F915.
How did you upgrade the software? what version was it?

Could be the upgrade did not go so well and may have to be done again but wait for more opinions here.

Eric,
Is it possible you have a phone set which rings on 147 that is in a DND condition and han't initialized its mailbox? Usually this condition will direct calls to the Gend delivery Mbox but???
Have you tried a full reboot?

Well, I just wanted to post the solution. I aquired and applied the redirect DN patch, and the problem is solved.
I have no clue as to why that fixed it, but it is now answering with the auto attenandant. This would be a nice feature if you wanted to just provide a customer with remote voicemail access, and no auto attandant.

TTYL!

Eric, you can still set up a feature like that for remote access. I usually set up 1 spare DID number (if they have one) with target line prime set to v-mail DN and target line not answered by AA. Customers like it.
