Hello,

We just opened a small business and are using these phones. AT&T is our service provider, but it seems using the Starplus VM system is more satisfactory.

By consulting the Station User Guide I started toward my goal to set-up VM boxes for each of our four employees. After reviewing the information on pages 86-91, I first dialed 440 in hopes to access the first VM box. It prompted me for a p/w, I entered 1234 and bingo! However, when I dial 441-447 to reach what are supposed to be VM groups 2-8 according to the guide, I'm quickly interrupted by a busy tone. Is that normal?

As I walked around the office, dialing 440 at each phone, it seemed each phone had it's own VM box and even some still had the old users recorded message. (I assume these are the old users and that I'm not accidentally accessing the VM boxes of other people throughout the building) So, really all we need to do is re-record our own messages, then set-up a call forward when we're busy/no answer and then we're good to go right?

Thank you

I forgot to mention, with AT&T. The VM customer support instructed that for us to have VM for each user we would have to place a caller on hold....

hit transfer,
dial 7-digit VM number,
hit *,
dial our area code + 7-digit telephone number,
hit transfer.

After all of this the caller still has to select to leave a message for whatever choice they select via our pre-recorded message. I wish there was an easier way that we could just place a caller on hold, then transfer then straight to the AT&T VM box. I personally love the Starplus phones, but I don't see anyway we could access our VM messages from say...vacation, home, etc. With the AT&T service we can.
