I'm having an issue with not hearing the VDN of Origin announcement, but hearing a double beep, prior to receiving the automatic answer call. What am I doing wrong? I have the COR and the VDN set up but it's not working the way I thought.

Ummmm..... you do have an announcement recorded, right?

Yes...I can call the announcement directly and hear what I recorded.
I placed the announcement extension number in the VDN of Origin field in the VDN.
I enabled "Hear VDN of Origin" with the COR.
Now, where to use that COR...for both the station and the agent ID?

Don't know if you saw my last response. Seems I can't see it here for some reason..it went away.
But yes, I did record the announcement. You can dial it and hear it. I've changed the COR for the AGENT to have "hear VDN of Origin" to Y and added the announcement into the field on the VDN screen. I just keep hearing the two beep tone prior to getting the automatic answer call.

Don't know what else to do. I'm using a Call Master IV if that has anything to do with it!

Is the feature activated in your system-parameters customer options under the call center optional features (page 7 on the G3si)? VDN of Origin Announcement should = Y.

Strange - we don't use this, but I did set one up as a test and it worked for me. The only thing that I noticed is when I set up the test agent as "auto-answer", I heard one beep prior to the VOA; when I was set up without auto-answer, I heard just the announcement (no beeps). I wonder why you're hearing a double beep?

Okay, I think I know why you're hearing a double beep - there's a field in cha sys fea for "hear zip tone following VOA".

Does the COR of your agent ID have permission to call the COR of your announcements?

I had a similar problem,

Check that the "Hear VDN of Origin Annc.?" field is set to "y" on the COR for your agent-loginID's. Page one when you do a "ch cor"

Also verify that that COR has Calling Permission to the COR of the announcement.

It should not matter what is in the Auto Answer field.
