You can invoke a command-line option
C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Tools\VMwareService.exe --cmd "vmx.set_option synctime 1 0" --OFF
C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Tools\VMwareService.exe --cmd "vmx.set_option synctime 0 1" --ON
You can invoke a command-line option
C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Tools\VMwareService.exe --cmd "vmx.set_option synctime 1 0" --OFF
C:\Program Files\VMware\VMware Tools\VMwareService.exe --cmd "vmx.set_option synctime 0 1" --ON

Took a bit of tracking down to find further info on this, it seemed to crap out the tools service first time I tried it though so further investigation to be done but thanks for the pointer
