VMWare fails with error

I get this error on some servers running VMWare:
There's no drive or network problems.
Operation on file "E:\VirtualMachines\servername\servername.vmdk" failed.
If the file resides on a remote file system, please make sure your network connection and the server where this disk resides are functioning properly. If the file resides on removable media, reattach the media.
Choose Retry to attempt the operation again.
Choose Abort to terminate this session.
Choose Continue to forward the error to the guest operating system.

can you browse "E:\VirtualMachines\servername\servername.vmdk" in explorer?

Can anyone assist as this causes server to go offline.

do you have other vm's on the same "e" drive. Can you move that vmdk to another drive and see if you have the same result? Is windows showing any errors for "e" drive.


If i understant you correctly it works for a bit and then causes the server to crash when the host loses connection to "e

Windows not showing any errors for drive. I have similar issue on different server.
