Eyup,
I've recently installed vmware server v1.0.1 in order to create a test machine on my laptop. I intend to install Windows XP Pro, SQL Server 2005 and the suite of Crystal Products upon the virtual server.
The problem i'm having is that performance on my PC seems to have suffered since the install, even though i've not started VMWare Server. I've looked at my processes and found that vmserverdWin32.exe is using 20,000K and vmware-authd.exe is using 6000k of my memory. Can i stop these processes if i'm not using vmware, and if so what would be the best method?
I have 2gb of RAM on my machine so more than enough memory.
Many thanks
