Hi there!
We backup VMS via the WumpusWare VMS client.
Prior to my Networker server failing and needing rebuilt, VMS backups worked fine.
After the Networker server restore, I get the following error on all drives:
---PASTING ONE DRIVE AS REPRESENTATIVE EXAMPLE---
salem1
DRV_09:[000000]
failed:incr:save
* salem1RV_09:[000000] 5 retries attempted
* salem1RV_09:[000000] UCX$RSHD - Permission denied - host IP addr
* salem1RV_09:[000000] 04/04/2005 09:33:24 PM nsrexec: save -s nbacknt.mmc-sil.com -LL -m salem1 -t 1111553989 -l incr -q -N DRV_09:[000000] DRV_09:[000000]
* salem1RV_09:[000000] Cannot connect to nsrexecd on client salem1.mmc-sil.com and .rhosts permissions
* salem1RV_09:[000000] do not allow rsh.
* salem1RV_09:[000000] Permission denied
---END PASTE---
Due to corporate layoffs (we're closing in June, but I still have to backup data until then), we don't have an actual VMS admin - we've got a developer who knows a bit of VMS and has root/superuser on the VMS machines.
Any idea what would cause this error? As far as I know, nothing has changed on the client, and I'm not sure what would have changed on the server once I pulled the bootstrap.
