my receptionist wants to transfer a caller to specifc users mailbox so as to not disturb the user. Users are 3 digit extensions starting with 1.

I've tried: SC *80, #XXX, vm collect
but when testing from ext 132, what i get is "your call has been answred by avaya IP office, ext 132 is not available".

I would like to, as an example using 139 in this explination, dial *80,139 (or *80 and get prompted to enter a VM Box number) and recieve voicemail for Mbox 139.

I've also tried SC *80, "#"N, vm collect.

what am i missing. also there has to be a way by just using short codes. Using a startpoint mod in VMpro would not be my preferred method.

just an old blue guy trying to self teach IPO........

You need a shortcode like this:

*80XXX
#N
Voicemail Collect
0

With you shortcode you do not define a target number so you end up in your own mailbox

Or press the message button and enter the extn number
Hang up
Call is transferred to mailbox.

i tried from sunshine999's post

code #XXX
feature voicemail collect
tele "#"N

user presses #139

and it worked! thanks!

intrigrant's post seems to have a correct solution too.. again thanks.
